9.4.7Battery Charging
(1)Initial charging (the company's products are generally pre-charged,
users can not do this operation)
The quality of the initial charge has a great influence on the battery, and it
must be operated by a experienced personnel .
The unused battery should be charged before use.
Clean the surface of the battery before initial charging and check for
damage.
Open the lid on the filler cap to ensure that the venting hole is clear.
Under the condition that the charger can work normally, the sulfuric acid
electrolyte with a density of 1.26±0.005 (25 °C) and a temperature lower than
30 °C is poured into the battery, and the liquid level requirement is 15 to 25
mm higher than the protection plate.
Allow the battery to stand for 3 to 4 hours, no more than 8 hours. The initial
charge can be performed until the liquid temperature drops below 35 °C. If the
electrolyte surface drops after standing, the electrolyte should be replenished.
The sulfuric acid electrolyte is prepared by using the battery sulfuric acid
and steamed water in accordance with the national standard GB4554-84 (do not
substitute industrial sulfuric acid or tap water).
During the preparation, only concentrated sulfuric acid can be slowly
injected into the distilled water in a fine flow, and it is continuously stirred with
an acid-resistant glass rod or a lead-coated wooden stick. Never allow distilled
water to be injected into the sulfuric acid, otherwise the solution will boil and
splash, causing burns accident.
The connection line between the charger and the battery requires the
correct polarity, that is, the positive pole is connected to the positive pole and the
negative pole is connected to the negative pole, and the connection is required to
be reliable.
The first stage of initial charging uses 0.5I5A (60A for D-600 batteries) and
charges until the battery voltage reaches 2.4V.
Enter the second stage of initial charging;
The second stage of initial charging uses 0.25I5A (30A for D-600 batteries);
