To point to an object, command, or
field for action by highlighting it.
There are several ways to select: by
moving the mouse, pressing the arrow
keys, or typing the name or first few
characters of an item. You can
select several items by pointin.g to
each and pressing the B3 mouse button
or the Mark key.
Computer programs that have been
stored on a disk or other medium.
An
area at the top of the screen
reserved for information about the
current state of the computer and its
activities.

command that makes the current
window inactive, so you can use a
different window or give window
management commands.

general term for a computer and its
