Installation

3.1

Selecting the installation location

– Make sure that the cables of the assemblies to be connected (pump(s), sensor(s)) are long enough to be able
to be routed and connected to the control unit.
– Never expose the control unit to direct sunlight.
– Installation only in dry, easily accessible and frost-free rooms.
– The control unit must be protected by a separate fault current circuit breaker.
– Make sure that unauthorised persons (e.g. children) can neither operate nor switch off the control unit. It must
be housed in a lockable building / cabinet if necessary.
3.2

Installing the control unit

Make sure that the control unit is voltage-free.
The control unit can only be opened when the main switch
<20> is in the OFF position.
Open the housing, to do this loosen the two screws <29> (anti-clockwise)
and open the housing cover.
Install the housing at the planned spot, using all four attachment
possibilities. There is a drilling template included in the scope of supply.
3.3

Routing the USB connection out (option)

To make the USB socket on the board accessible without the housing having to be opened, a USB housing
socket with cable and connector for installation in the control unit housing can be ordered from KESSEL (art.
no. 28785).
3.4

Installing the control unit for the redundant flap (option)

Install and connect the control unit for the redundant flap according to the specifications given in the
appropriate operating and maintenance instructions.
3.5

KESSEL tele-control modem (option)

Install the KESSEL tele-control modem according to the installation instructions enclosed with it.
3.6

Establishing the mains connection

3.6.1 Control unit with safety plug

Insert the safety plug into the designated socket
