How to Start or Stop Collating

At this point, the mechanical setup for the collating operation is complete. Make the function settings on the control panel
and start the collating operation.

Turn on the power switch.
Select the delivery mode.
• Select the delivery mode using the finisher/stacker
select button.
• When stapling the collated sheets, see "How to Staple
Collated Sheets." (Refer to page 19.)
Raise the bin lever.
• All bins are raised and set to the feed position.
Press the Check button.
• One set of sheets will be collated on the receiving tray.
During this check, the machine saves the sheet length
and the number of bins used.
• After this operation, blue lamps on the operation panel
for the bins, which no sheets are loaded or misfeed
occurs, blink quickly.
• If several collators are used, make sure to turn on
the power from the left collator. Otherwise, [E-1]
error appears on the display and collating operation
cannot be started.
• Make sure to turn on the power switch of all collators
connected. Otherwise, sheet jam may occur.
• If several collators are used, operate complete sys-
tem using the operation panel on the leftmost colla-
tor.
