Usually, load the sheets so they feed from the
short edge.
• A4 (8.5" x 11") size sheets can be collated as shown in
the right-hand illustration. Use the support stopper on
the receiving tray.
• Avoid feeding A5 sheets (5.5" x 8.5") from the long
edge. This can cause double-feeding.
When using A3 (11" x 17") size sheets:
• Pull out the bin supports.
When using the collator without SPF-9/9A or MF-1:
• The collated sets are delivered to the right.
1) Load the sheets in the bins face down.
2) Load the first sheets in the bottom bin, and the rest of
the sheets above that in order.
When using the collator with SPF-9/9A or MF-1:
• The collated sets are delivered to the left.
1) Load the sheets in the bins face up.
2) Load the first sheets in the top bin, and the rest of the
sheets below that in order.
• When three collators are connected, sheets cannot be
transported from the rightmost collator to the finisher.
