Description
3.6 Description of options
3.6.8

DeviceNet interface (option G23)

Using the Anybus X-Gateway communication module, the converter can be connected to the
DeviceNet third-party bus system.
3.6.9

Teleservice connection TS Adapter II analog modem (option G25)

With this option, a teleservice connection is available via the TS Adapter II of the analog modem.
3.6.10

Teleservice connection TS Adapter II ISDN modem (option G35)

With this option, a teleservice connection is available via the TS Adapter II of the ISDN modem.
The teleservice connection enables staff at the service center to perform all control and setting
functions with the STARTER software for the purpose of providing servicing support. The
teleservice connection requires a suitable modem which can establish a communication link
between the internal PROFIBUS and the service center over a telephone line. This modem with
PROFIBUS link is integrated in the SIMATIC TS Adapter II. An extension cable may be needed
to make the connection to the telephone line. In addition, a 24 VDC supply voltage for the TS
Adapter must be provided on-site.
3.6.11

1x temperature sensor evaluation unit TM150 (option G51)

This option comprises a temperature sensor evaluation unit TM150.
Terminal Module TM150 is used for sensing and evaluating several temperature sensors.
Terminal Module TM150 is designed to connect a maximum of 12 temperature sensors.
Additional information is provided in document "Supplementary component descriptions
(https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/109768128)".
3.6.12

Additional Terminal Module TM31 (option G61)

One TM31 and two TM15 Terminal Modules are already part of each standard device version.
The Terminal Modules are used for the following functions:
● Inclusion of warning and fault messages and control signals
● Communication with a higher-level control level.
If the number of signals to be monitored is insufficient, the interface can be extended to include
an additional Terminal Module. Additional digital inputs and outputs and two analog inputs and
outputs are available with the TM31. The inputs and outputs are used, for example, for fetching
temperatures.
The TM31 Terminal Module provides the following inputs and outputs:
● 8 digital inputs
● 4 bidirectional digital inputs and outputs
