Starting operation

1. Check all hydraulic and electrical connections of the power unit in
accordance with the Operation and maintenance Instructions enclosed
with the FAM.
2. After switch-on, the most
recently selected operating
mode will be shown in the
display.
Change the operating
mode as described on
page 59 when necessary.
3. Press the function key F1
"START".
4. The vacuum pump starts
up and the motor pump
assembly starts suction
either from the tank or the
vacuum column,
depending on the fill level
in the vacuum column.
5. Set the required pressure in the vacuum column. See page 52.

Select an operating mode with heater from a viscosity of
≥ 350 mm²/s.
It is not mandatory that the heater be switched on in the presence
of lower viscosities, but it would contribute decisively to the
enhancement of dewatering performance.
