What are the customer benefits?
You protect the web server connection
against tapping or distortion of the com-
munication through access via the secure
transmission protocol "HTTPS" including a
special web server certificate.
You can set the Web server interface to
the following languages:
Korean
Russian
Turkish
Portuguese (Brazil)
You can assign up to three different pro-
ject languages for comments, alarm texts
and diagnostic information to the user
interface languages of the Web server.
The display of the TIA project name im-
mediately indicates whether the desired
project is selected.
Here you can find information about:
Know-how protection or copy protec-
tion of the PLC program
Program/communication load and
cycle time
F-collective signatures, cycle times
and runtimes of the F-runtime group(s)
You can acknowledge alarms of the CPU
via the Web server.
You can change the value of tags and
write them to the CPU, also using the
absolute address.
You can back up and restore the CPU
configuration to/from the SIMATIC
memory card via the Web server.
You can monitor statuses, errors, technol-
ogy alarms and the current values of con-
figured technology objects (TOs) with the
Web server without STEP 7.
You can read, view and save trace record-
ings via the Web server and thus obtain
plant and project information for diagnos-
tics and maintenance without STEP 7.
