The operation of these functions depends on how your Host

Telephone operates with your PBX system. For the 2317
Telephone do not program the xfer and conf functions .
7. After the keys are configured,
you will see the message:
If the Message key is
assigned to one of the
function keys of your host
phone, press the message
key of the host phone.
Otherwise, proceed to step 8
without pressing any keys.
8. When you have configured all
the keys, press talk . You will
see:
The configuration is now
stored and the
MER 9600C returns to
Standby. At this point, you
can use the MER 9600C.
At any time during the Configure process, you can use the vol and
chan keys on the front of the handset to scroll backward or forward
through the configuration options. If you scroll past a Function Key or
other keys without configuring it, that key will be inoperative on your
MER 9600C.

Deleting Configuration Items

You can delete any configuration option by selecting that option and
entering 0.
Example: Delete the option for F4 .
