Playfield Incline Motor &
Sensor Replacement
IMPORTANT: Replacement of the lift motor
assembly or associated components should
only be performed by an experienced service
technician, as they are located in an area
requiring extensive disassembly of the game.

The following is an abbreviated procedure for
the replacement of these components.
1. With power off to the game, remove the rear
access panel.
2. Open the front access door and unplug the
motor wiring from the fuse block circuit board.

3. The following components need to be
removed as well as associated wiring and
wiring clips. The rear door stops, lower target
mounting panels and icicles near the motor
assembly.

4. It
may
be
easier
components, with the entire motor assembly
removed from the game. Disconnect the sensor
wires at the connector. Disconnect the green
ground wire from the motor bracket. Disconnect
the cotter and clevis pins holding the link arm to
the under side of the table. Remove the four
hex head bolts and lock washers attaching the
motor mounting bracket to the inner mounting
surface.

5. If replacing the sensor, remove the two
screws holding the sensor to the motor bracket
and replace.

6. If replacing the arm assembly, drive out
the roll pin holding the cam to the end of the
shaft and remove the cam. See Figure 11.
7. Disassemble the arm components from the
cam and replace the worn or bent parts, then
reassemble.
8. To replace the entire motor, drive out the
roll pin securing the cam to the end of the motor
shaft and remove the arm assembly.
9. Remove the four machine screws, nuts and
star washers holding the motor to the motor
bracket. Note that the screw closest to the
sensor
is
installed
interference with the sensor.
