8.3. Mounting and dismantling a mobile obstacle

EFORE ANY INTERVENTION IN AN INTERMEDIATE

8.3.1.
Dismantling
•
Open the main door.
•
Bring the obstacle to the "closed" position, i.e., barring the passage-way.
•
Loosen and remove the 5 screws (27:1) that fix the obstacle to the plinth.
Firmly maintain the obstacle during the procedure.
Once the obstacle is dismounted, the mechanism may be violently forced open due to the balancing
spring. To prevent this, maintain the motor rod against the closing bumper by means of an adequate tool.
•
Take the obstacle down.

8.3.2.
Mounting
•
Fix self-adhesive masking tape (27:5) to the glass obstacle (27:6) on the area where the obstacle is to be
accommodated into the plinth (27:3).
•
Fix the flexible spacers (27:4) to the obstacle holes.
•
Insert the obstacle into the plinth.
•
Mount the 5 hexagonal-head screws M5x25 (27:1) and the 5 lock washers M5 DIN6798 (27:2).
•
Maintaining the obstacle 3 mm from the safety shutter, check the position of the obstacle with the help of a
bubble level and progressively tighten the 5 screws (27:1) with a tightening torque of 10 to 11 Nm maximum.
