8. Changes to either the Shutter or Offset Adjustments on the valve will alter
combustion throughout the range. Once combustion setup is completed
at low and high fire, perform the following steps to verify O2 repeatability:
A. Ramp the boiler from low fire RPM to high fire RPM.
B. From the high fire RPM, ramp back to the low fire RPM, record
combustion O2%.
C. Turn the boiler off.
D. Turn the boiler on and set to the low fire RPM rate.
E. Verify combustion O2% at low fire is consistent with the value recorded
in Step B. If it is not, reference Valve Offset Adjustment in Step 6 for low
fire RPM adjustments.
9. Verify combustion settings are in the range specified by Table 9.
NOTEE: Proper set up of the Ignition Enrichment gas is crucial to the light-off
–
of the boiler and requires verification in the field during initial commissioning.
Fulton recommends the Ignition enrichment setting is verified during the yearly
preventative maintenance.
10. Once final field combustion is completed at low and high fire, the ignition
enrichment setting requires verification. Use the factory Test Fire Report to
determine the factory light off RPM fan speed setting. Input the light off
RPM into the SOLA "manual firing rate" screen (Figure 33).
11. Connect an inches of water column measuring device (e.g., manometer)
to the enrichment gas valve test port (Figure 27). Insert combustion
analyzer probe into the flue gas outlet port.
