2.2 Features
Anybus CANopen X-gateways act as intelligent links between two industrial networks. On the CAN-
open subnetwork side, they can function as both a master (manager) or slave (server), while they work
as slaves on the fieldbus/Ethernet side. The implementation is based on HMS NP30 network micro-
processor and is certified by CAN in Automation (CIA) for full conformance to the CANopen DS 301
v4.0.2 standard.
CANopen (subnetwork)
•
CANopen master (manager) and slave functionality
•
Connects up to 126 CANopen slave nodes
•
Complies to the CANopen communication profile DS301 4.2 and DSP302 (part 1-5)
•
Supports cyclic and acyclic synchronous as well as COS (change of state) PDO message types.
•
Auto baud rate on CANopen
•
Heartbeat and node guarding mechanisms
•
Sync objects
•
128 receive and 128 transmit PDOs available
PROFIBUS Features
•
Complete DP-V1 Slave functionality according to IEC 61158
•
Automatic baudrate detection (9600 bit/s - 12 Mbit/s)
•
Supports PA baud rate 45.45 kbit/s
•
Address range: 1-99 using onboard switches
•
Up to 244 bytes of cyclic I/O in each direction, 328 bytes in total
•
Supports acyclic Class 1 & Class 2 services.
1.
As the Anybus X-gateway CANopen does not support acyclic data exchange, these services can only be used to extract I&M data
from the module.
