Remove bolts - arrows - securing turbocharger to catalytic converter.

Lift out catalytic converter.

Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
Grease threads of oxygen sensor only with hot bolt paste G 052 112 A3; paste must not be allowed to

come into contact with slits in sensor body.
Align exhaust system free of stress --> Exhaust system - vehicles with front wheel drive, aligning

stress-free and --> Exhaust system - vehicles with all wheel drive, aligning stress-free.
Tightening torques
Components
Oxygen sensor to catalytic converter
Catalytic converter to turbocharger
Front exhaust pipe to catalytic converter
Front exhaust pipe to transmission bracket
Clamp for front exhaust pipe
Heat shield to transmission
Hose clamps for air hoses
Front exhaust pipe, removing and installing
Removing
NOTE:
Always replace gaskets and self-locking nuts.

To avoid damage, do not bend decoupling element of front exhaust pipe

by more than 10 °.
