Bus length
The table below shows guidelines for the maximum distance
as a factor of the baud rate selected. Exact specifications can
be found in the manuals for your control system or bus inter
face.
Baud rate
1000 kBaud
500 kBaud
125 kBaud
20 kBaud
Bus supply
Avoid long distances between the bus interface/logic supply
and the CPV valve terminal.
Please note
Bus slaves have different tolerances in respect of the inter
face supply, depending on the manufacturer. You must
take this into account when planning the bus length and
placing the power unit.
Recommendation:
Place the power unit in the centre of the bus. The following
tolerance for the bus interface supply applies to Festo CPV
valve terminals:
