S Use only PELV circuits as per IEC/DIN EN 60204−1 (Pro
tective Extra−Low Voltage, PELV) for the electrical supply.
Consider also the general requirements for PELV circuits
in accordance with IEC/DIN EN 60204−1.
S Use power supplies which guarantee reliable electrical
isolation of the operating voltage as per IEC/DIN EN
60204−1.
By the use of PELV circuits, protection against electric shock
(protection against direct and indirect contact) is guaranteed
in accordance with IEC/EN 60204−1 (Electrical equipment for
machines, General requirements).
The current consumption of a CPV valve terminal depends on
the number of valve coils. We recommend the following:
Use only closed−loop power units.
When selecting the power unit, check that it provides

sufficient output. If necessary, ascertain the total current
consumption in accordance with the following table.
Include an EMERGENCY STOP function in the load voltage

circuit for the CPV valve coils.
