2. Open the "Import" tab.
3. Select the "PCS 7 project" option in the "Project selection" area.
4. Select the PCS 7 project in the "PCS 7 project path / XML path" field.
5. Select CM/EM instances under "Project" in the "Filter" area.
6. Select either "DCS" or "Unit" option in the "Target structure for signal engineering" area.
7. Click "Import".
Result
Based on the target structure selected, the IO channel implemenattion is done either on DCS
or unit structure.
Note
To do a IO channel implementation in unit structure, a configured mapping table is needed. For
more infomation on configuring mapping table, see chapter Linking attributes from PAA and
PCS 7 (Page 159).

Hardware transfer

A complete set of hardware components for data exchange with PCS 7 via the data transfer
dialog is new.
All HW components that are enabled for PCS 7 V8.x and later can be transferred from a
completely configured PCS 7 project.
All the hardware components in PAA are transferred to the folder "UnspecifiedHW".
On re-import to PCS 7, the hardware components end up in PCS 7 HW Config.
Via the right-hand mouse button all the HW components that are enabled for the set PCS 7
version can be created.
