14.7 Hardware engineering in the Navigator
Requirements
● The "Locations" tab is displayed in the Navigator.
● A plant has been created including the cabinet or field location.
Creating a CFU
1. Select the object "Plant > Building > Floor, level > Room, Control center > Cabinet".
Or
Select the object "Plant > New > Field location".
The cabinet or the field location are created under the plant accordingly.
2. Select the "New > Distributed periphery > SIMATIC CFU PA" command from the context
menu of the cabinet or the field location.
The CFU is created below the cabinet or field location.

The PROFIBUS PA profiles available in PCS 7 are also available in PAA at the following node
@50|A20|A10|A20|A90|A10|A10|B30|A10|A20 Profibus PA profiles
Result
The PA Slave configuration of the CFU can be done in PAA and transferred to PCS 7.

Requirement

PA Profiles / GSD slaves are connected to CFU in PAA via the engineering task
The PROFIBUS address of slave is used to identify the slot number
If the slave is connected, the PROFIBUS address is set automatically from 20 to 27
