15.2 Connection type

Procedure
1. Open the "Connection manager" plugin.
2. Drag&drop the desired object into the "Start object" filed.
3. Change the "Connection type" to "Connection" in the menu bar of the plugin.
4. Enter the relevant connection partner in the "Target" column (For example,
"DCS.TH01.F4712.F4712.I.PV_AH_Act") using "Copy text"/"Paste text" and "Edit (F2)"
functionalities in the context menu.
You have the option of copying multiple outputs from an Excel sheet and pasting into the
"Target" column.
5. Click "Apply" and confirm your entries.
6. The "Status" column gives the connection status as "Connected" or "Not connected".
The status is based on the connections created or not.
Creating connections from EM instances
The "Connection manager" allows the connection with EM instances having the following
objects:
● All "Characteristic" parameters in the "Characteristics folder"
● Parameters below EM
● Parameters below CMs under EM (created newly in the Type configurator plugin)
