Editing equipment modules on the function diagram

Requirement
● The function diagram is open.
● The equipment module was automatically placed on the function block diagram during the
import or during the creation in the "Type configurator" plugin.
See chapter Importing control modules and equipment modules (Page 180) and
chapter Creating an equipment module (type) (Page 41).
Procedure
1. Double click on the name or description of the EM/EMT symbol to edit.
2. Click on the value of a parameter to edit.
3. To connect the EM with another EM or CM drag&drop the relevant parameter on the
function diagram and connect it with the partner parameter.
4. Drag and drop the function blocks on the function diagram.
5. Connect the objects on the function diagram.
Result
The placed objects can be exported.
Creating external connection to a characteristic parameter
1. Open the "Type configurator" plugin.
2. Navigate to the specific characteristic and create new parameter from the context menu.
3. Click "Refresh" on the opened function diagram of the EM, the new parameter will be
displayed.
4. Drag and drop the parameter on function diagram where the connection partner is located.
5. Connect the parameter.
6. The new connection will be displayed on the EMT once the function diagram is opened.
