When using a probe rack, position the workpiece and probe rack so
that measurements and probe change can be carried out without col-
lision.
• Arrange the workpiece and probe rack so that no collisions can
occur during the measuring run.
For more information on installing a probe rack,, please refer to .
Lowering the workpiece onto the measuring
table
Workpieces can be lowered onto the measuring table either manually
or by means of a lifting equipment.
Activate the "crane interlock" when using lifting equipment to lower
workpieces onto the measuring table. The crane lock is an option.
This option requires additional hardware and software. For more
information, please refer to the operating instructions for the measur-
ing software.
Heavy workpieces
Heavy workpieces have a hard impact if lowered into the measuring
table too quickly.
• Lower heavy workpieces at a maximum speed of 2mm/s.
• First place the workpiece on elastic supports.
• Then replace the elastic elements with rigid supports.
Metal blocks clamped by clamping devices can be used as rigid sup-
ports. Screw fasteners can be used alternatively. These fasteners can
be screwed into the threaded holes in the measuring table.
