Explanation of Returned Status

Generic status bits
If enabled in the POR.INI file, this status information will be reported periodically. This
status information is basic/generic status of the printer as defined below.
ID = 0x81
Format: ID <b1> <b2>
Length: ID + 2 status bytes
B1 bit0 = Paper Out
B1 bit1 = Paper Low
B1 bit2 = Printer Open (Racked out)
B1 bit3 = Printer Data Error
B1 bit4 = Printer Head Up (not latched)
B1 bit5 = No top of form not seen error.
B1 bit6 = ALWAYS 1
B1 bit7 = ALWAYS 0
B2 bit0 = Paper jam/mis-feed
B2 bit1 = Ticket in chute
B2 bit2 = Printer Error (Generic error)
B2 bit3 = Critical Field Printed
B2 bit4 = Barcode Field Printed
B2 bit5 = TBD
B2 bit6 = ALWAYS 1
B2 bit7 = ALWAYS 0
Printer model description
If enabled in the POR.INI file, this information will be reported once after power up. This
is the model name of the printer. The name can be up to 59 bytes. If the name is less
than 59 bytes the remaining bytes will be nulls (0). Byte 60 is always null, providing a
null terminated string.
ID = 0x82
Format: ID <b1> ... <b60>
Length: ID + 60 ascii bytes
