EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
8.2 Replacing the cutting blades
When the blades are so worn that they do not guarantee a good job, they have to be replaced, following the sequence indicated
in Fig. 13 and being very careful to keep your hands away from the teeth of the blade.
Unscrew screws 1, 2 and 3 and replace blades A and B.
IMPORTANT: before tightening screws 1, adjust the play between the blade with the help of shims 4 so that the blades are not
blocked when the fitting is completed.
Lock screws 1, 2 and 3 with a thread glue solution such as LOCTITE 270 (or similar) and lock to a torque of 210 Nm.
Following this, grease before putting into movement.

Do not rely on the holding power of the hydraulic lift: insert trestles or mechanical struts
between the machine and the ground, to avoid the accidental descent of the head.
WARNING
If irregularities or strange noises are noticed after changing the blades, contact Ferri imme-
diately
WARNING
Replace bent or broken blade with new blades.
Never attempt to weld on blades or straighten blades.
DANGER
Use exclusively authentic spare parts.
