5 ADJUSTMENTS
Always perform adjustment operations with the tractor engine switched off, the PTO disconnected, and the ignition keys removed
from the dashboard.
Whenever checks on operation are performed with the casing removed from the frame, make
sure that no one approaches the equipment. Keep a minimum distance of 1 m from the equi-
pment in order to reduce the risk of shearing caused by moving parts.
Under these circumstances, the maintenance man is directly responsible for his own safety
DANGER
and the safety of others.
The machine is delivered already set and ready for use, and does nor require any adjustment prior to operation. Whenever
varia-tions are required in flow (after observing, for example, that a number of cycles does not match the characteristics listed
in the technical features) or pressure, either contact authorised "FERRI" workshops or proceed as follows with assistance from
specialised personnel.
5.1 Change-over valve setting adjustment
The change-over valve (A) has two maximum pressure valves positioned respectively on the bottom side (7) and the rod side (5)
that protect the machine against over-pressure and adjust change-over prior to reaching the end of the blade stroke.
We recommend removing the fork (B) for the purpose of making a check at the end of the
hydraulic ram stroke in order to avoid that an accidental movement of the hydraulic ram and
the fork itself during setting operations might cause injury.
In order to remove the fork, unscrew the two bolts (3).
CAUTION
All setting operations must be performed with the tractor engine (or hydraulic unit) switched
off, the power take-off disconnected, and the starting keys removed from the dashboard.
