Before putting it away, the whole machine must be cleaned accurately and all the mechanical
parts adequately lubricated to protect it from rust.
CAUTION
4.4.1 Storage safety

Store the unit in an area away from human activity.
■
Do not permit children to play on or around the stored machine.
■
Store the unit in a dry, level area. Support the frame with planks if required.
4.5 Machine start up after a long parking period
If the machine has been unused for a long period of time, it is necessary to follow a specific procedure to start it up properly.
■
Make a general visual check of the machine to identify any structural lesions, find any deep abrasions on the paint, check
that the original safety decals are present in their positions and are whole and legible;
■
If any lesions, abrasions or damage are found, make the necessary repairs: if necessary, replace any damaged decals
immediately;
■
Grease all the mechanical parts, the tightening pins, the coupling head to the PTO shaft (see Chapter 7 "Maintenance").
