Chapter 9

Hardware Parameters

This chapter provides the AC and DC electrical specifications as well as the thermal
characteristics of the MPC180E.

9.1 Absolute Maximum Ratings

Table 9-1 lists ranges of basic parameters.
Characteristic
Power supply voltage—Core
Power supply voltage—I/O
Storage temperature
Lead temperature (for 10 seconds)
Static input pin voltage
Input current to guarantee latch-up can not occur
1
Permanent device damage may occur if ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS are exceeded. Functional operation
should be restricted to RECOMMENDED OPERATING CONDITIONS. Exposure to higher than recommended
voltages for extended periods of time could affect device reliability.
2
This device contains circuitry to protect the inputs against damage due to high static voltages or electric fields;
however, it is advised that normal precautions be taken to avoid application of any voltage higher than maximum
rated voltages to this high-impedance circuit.
