ADJUSTMENT OF ACTUATOR MOUNT SLIP CLUTCH.
The torque of the actuator mount clutch is measured
and, if necessary, adjusted to the value required for
the T303 aircraft.
Table 1 lists the required torque
value for the actuator mount used on T303 aircraft.
The table also lists the ARC adapter that must be used
with the torquemeter when making measurements and
adjustments.
Use the following procedure for clutch torque mea-
surement and adjustment:
Step 1. Remove the actuator from its mount.
See Illustrations A and B.
Step 2. Lock gear shaft on mount so that shaft
does not move.
Step 3.
Attach the proper ARC torquemeter
adapter, listed in table 1, to the Snap-On Model
TE-6FU Torquemeter (or equivalent), and attach
the torquemeter to the actuator mount sprocket
(or capstan) assembly.
NOTE
Be sure to use the proper clutch adapter.
Using an improper adapter will give erro-
neous readings or may possibly damage
the clutch.
Step 4.
If the torque is incorrect for the parti-
cular installation (see table 1), remove the clutch
seal cap, and clip and remove the safety wire se-
curing the clutch adjustment.
Step 5. Turn the clutch screw to adjust slip
clutch torque setting to that required for the T303
aircraft.
(Turn screw clockwise to increase torque
or counterclockwise to decrease torque.)
Step 6. Repeat step 5 as necessary until proper
clutch torque is established.
Step 7.
Safety wire torque screw in accordance
with specification MS33542, using MS20995NC020
safety wire.
Step 8. Replace clutch seal cap and install
mount
MAINTENANCE.
For maintenance of the yaw damper system, refer to
the appropriate Cessna Yaw Damper System Service/
Parts Manual.
