- TEMPERATURE INCREASE: The power should be increased gradually from the
minimum up to the point where the patient notices a pleasant and bearable
temperature which can be perceived in the active or passive electrode or in both
at the same time, in function of the tissues located in between the two electrodes
and the penetrated diameter (at a same power, those areas with an smaller
diameter will heat up more, for instance, the wrist or the ankle). If the patient
during the treatment warns about an increase of the pain he feels, the power must
be lowered until this sensation disappears.
- MOUVEMENT: Differently from the capacitive mode, when using direct coupling
in most cases the electrode will be used in a fixed position or with subtle
movements in circles slightly larger than the diameter of the electrode that is being
used. The power has to be adjusted constantly to make sure the temperature
perceived by the client is pleasant at all times.
- ADHERENCE: It is important you always use electrodes that adhere perfectly to
the patient's skin. Be careful not to touch the patient with the brim of the
electrode's circumference.
IT IS IMPERATIVE TO AVOID THE RESISTIVE
ELECTRODE
CONTACT WITH THE PASSIVE PLATE OF THE
WORKING DEVICE.
Direct contact will produce technical damages in the
device.
Automatic operating mode with CAPACITIVE PLATE
c)
Using the larger (200 cm2) capacitive automatic electrodes (active plates) offers
great advantages and allows to treat, without the need of an operator being
present, larger body areas. Each working channel (max. 4) works autonomously
and consists of a so called active plate and passive reception plate.
