This chapter describes the procedures for a correct maintenance of the
device and its accessories.
CAPENERGY devices cannot be repaired by users. All repairs should be
made by the manufacturer or authorized personnel.
5.1 IN GENERAL
When using CAPENERGY DEVICES, the following matters regarding periodic
maintenance should be observed:
Before the treatment:
The insulation of the active plate should be inspected carefully in search of
imperfections, damages of the surface, scratches on the insulation or any other kind
of flaw. Do not use the accessory if you detect any kind of damage to the surface of
the gel sleeve, protective membrane or active plate.
The active plates have to be used with gel sleeves. Avoid folds on the inside when
applying the sleeve to the body, in order to avoid pores or cracks from forming.
Any pore or crack in the gel sleeve means you have to get rid of the accessory and
replace it by a new one.
The cables and connectors of the active and passive accessories have to be
inspected to assure their perfect condition. The accessories should not be used in
case any kind of damage or imperfection is detected and they should be replaced by
others in perfect conditions.
The capacitive electrodes should be used with protective membranes to assure their
preservation.
The gel sleeves and protective membranes are consumer goods subject to wear and
tear which may affect safety. Replace the sleeves and membranes by new ones if
you observe any flaws.
