Installing the PDU

Required tools

• Phillips screwdriver
• Torx screwdriver

Vertical PDU installation

HPE Vertical PDUs include the following form factor models:
• Half-height
• Mid-height
• Full-height

Installing cord retention brackets

The following instructions are for PDUs with NEMA 5-20R outlets, which require the installation of a separate
retention bracket to secure the input power cord at the outlet.
Procedure
1. Attach the bracket to the unit using the screws provided.
2. Install the PDU into the rack.
