SCREW TO BE REMOVED WHEN DETACHING THE INSTRU-
MENT PANEL
Instrument panel
Detach ment
1. Back off and remove the four screws holding the in-
strument insert. Pass the speedometer cable in from
the direction of the engine compartment. Remove the
instrument insert.
2. Back off and remove the screw for the rear bracket
holding the instrument panel to the front edge of the
body.
3. Back off and remove the four screws holding th nstru-
ment panel to the dash-panel support member.
REMOVAL OF SCREWS, INSTRUMENT PANEL
4. Remove the ash-tray bracket.
5. Detach the heater-control wires from the dampers and
thermostat valve and remove the headlight-control
handle.
6. Pull the instrument panel out.
Removal of instrument panel
1. Detach the panel as described above.
2. Remove the steering wheel. See "Removal of steering
wheel"
3. Disconnect all cables and heating hoses and remove
the instrument panel.
Reinstall in the reverse order.
Roll-over bar
Removal
1. Back off and remove the four screws for the rear-
window hinges.
2. Remove the lining from the partition wall and back
off and remove the two roll-bar retain ing screws. The
roll bar can now be removed.
Reinstall in the reverse order.
