Back-up light switch
The switch is located on the gear lever housing and is
actuated by the gear lever. To adjust, slacken the lock nut
and screw the switch in or out as applicable. If this adjust-
ment possibility is insufficient, the reason may be that
the gear lever housing is mounted too far forward. If so,
slacken the four retaining screws and adjust the position.
NOTE
The switch must not be adjusted so far as to cause it
to be actuated by the gear lever in the 2nd gear posi-
tion.
LOCATION OF BACK-UP LIGHT SWITCH
Warning system for unfastened safety belts
With effect from chassis No. 97725001186 a device has
been installed that switches on a warning light and a buzz-
er if the car is started when the driver's and/or passenger's
seat belts are not fastened. The warning light is located
on top of the instrument panel and the buzzer under the
instrument panel. Transmitter switches are located in the
cushion of the passenger seat, on the gear lever and on
the belt retractors.
The warning system comes into operation if either of the
following sets of conditions are fulfilled:
1. Driver's side:
Ignition on, gear engaged and switch in bett retractor
closed (= bett reeled in).
2. Passenger's side:
Ignition on, gear engaged, seat switch closed by weight
of passenger and switch in belt retractor closed (= belt
reeled in).
