Changing bulbs for flashers and for back-up, parking,
stop and number-plate lights
1. Back off and remove the two retaining screws and
remove the lens together with its screws.

2. Take the bulb out of its bayonet socket.
3. Clean the bulb socket and lens, taking care to remove
all impurities.
4. Fit the new bulb. Make sure that good contact is
obtained, particularly at the earth connection.
5. Refit the lens.

Changing bulbs for side position lights
Changing is done in the same way as described in the
above section, the difference being that in this case the
lens and frame are removed by moving the rubber
moulding aside with a small screwdriver. See fig.

Changing bulbs
1. Remove the lamp unit by prizing carefully at one edge
with a screwdriver. The bulb can then be removed.
2. Press the new bulb in, making sure that the two fasten-
ings close snugly, so that the bulb sits firmly.
3. Refit the lamp unit by inserting one edge in the hole
and then pressing in the other edge.
Interior lighting
The map reading light (located below the glove compart-
ment) is switched on by the door contact or by the switch
on the lamp. see fig.

Instrument lighting
Changing bulbs
1. Back off and remove the four screws holding the instru-
ment insert. Pass the speedometer cable in from the
direction of the engine compartment. Remove the instru-
ment insert.
2. Remove the bulb holder concerned and fit a new bulb.
Refit the holder.
Note that the bulb holders in the fuel and temperature
gages are fitted with a bayonet socket.
3. Reinstall the instrument insert. Pull the speedometer
cable out into the engine compartment.
