Description
This command explicitly defines the egress IEEE 802.1P (dot1p) bits marking for fc-name. All pack-
ets belonging to a particular FC that have either an IEEE 802.1Q or IEEE 802.1P encapsulation use
the explicitly defined dot1p-value. If the egress packets for fc-name are not IEEE 802.1Q or IEEE
802.1P encapsulated, the dot1p command has no effect. The dot1p-in-profile dot1p-value and
dot1p-out-profile dot1p-value commands will provide the capability to mark Dot1p on an egress
access port for the in and out of profile packets. Remarking of Dot1P bits is always enabled. If the
user has not explicitly configured this FC-Dot1p map the marking of packets is according to FC-
Dot1P marking table as listed in
User can explicitly define the new Dot1P values using these commands.

inherited when a forwarding class or enqueuing priority parameter is missing.
A maximum of eight dot1p rules are allowed on a single policy.
