7 CLEANING, DISINFECTION AND STERILIZATION
7.1

General

You must consult the special Propex IQ
Guide before proceeding with cleaning disinfection and sterilization.
Disposable (single-use) Propex IQ
dental equipment / accessories or endodontic instruments. Always reprocess Propex IQ
Apex Locator.
The following parts shall be reprocessed before and after each treatment.
The reprocessing procedure might damage the (USB) plugs connected to the Propex IQ
Apex Locator / X-Smart IQ
during normal (plugged) use. Avoid reprocessing these plugs.

Use only properly maintained equipment and approved materials according to national
laws and/or regulations.
Always wear protective clothes for you own safety (gloves, mask, glasses and a
waterproof gown) for the reprocessing process.
