4. More fields will appear. Enter the following settings:
IMPORTANT!
SCENARIO 1 OR 2
Enable ActivePairing – Do not check the box
Port – Select the appropriate COM number for your Bluetooth stack:
i. Microsoft: Outgoing COM number
ii. Toshiba: Local COM-Client
iii. Broadcom: COM for Client Applications
SCENARIO 3
Enable ActivePairing – Check the box
Port – Select the appropriate COM number for your Bluetooth stack:
i. Microsoft: Incoming COM number
ii. Toshiba: Local COM-Server
iii. Broadcom: COM for Local Services
The remaining fields are optional for any of the scenarios:
• Good read indication on CS: Select how you would like the
Bluetooth CHS to indicate that it has successfully read data.
• Auto re-connect: Select the maximum number of attempts and time
limit per attempt for the Bluetooth CHS to reconnect to the computer
in case they move out of range from each other.
• Disable CS Auto Power Off mode:
CAUTION: Selecting this option will disable the Auto Power Off
mode and can result in complete discharge of the Bluetooth CHS
batteries. Use with caution.
Note: You must disable CS Auto Power Off mode if you would like the
scanner to automatically reconnect to the PC after losing a connection.
• Advanced: When the PC is connected to the scanner, you can modify
the scanner's Bluetooth friendly name and security settings. Please refer
to the instructions later in this chapter.
• Battery Level: Progress bar appears when the scanner is connected.
5. After entering settings, click OK to save the changes.
