Status • The drive remains in any previously set mode.
• The tape position is not changed.

Description
All reserved bits must be 0.
Always FFFFFFh, indicating a maximum block length of 2
Always 0001h, indicating a minimum block length of 1.
Message Description
Not Ready No cartridge is in the drive.
Hardware Error Parity error on the SCSI bus or drive hardware
failure.
Illegal Request The Command Descriptor Block is invalid.
Unit Attention The cartridge was changed, or the drive was re-
set prior to this command.
