Future drives may supports multiple Logical Unit Numbers. This would increase the
LUN List Length and add additional LUNs to the LUN List after byte 15.
Code Message Description
• The drive is ready to perform any appropriate command.
00h Good
• The drive remains in any previously set mode.
Status
• The drive accepts commands from any Initiator.
• The tape position is not changed.
02h Check Use the Request Sense command to retrieve status information. Possible

Description
Always 8, indicating the length of the LUN list, starting in byte 8.
All reserved bits must be 0.
Always 0, indicating LUN 0.
Message Description
Hardware Error Parity error on the SCSI bus or drive hardware
failure.
Illegal Request The Command Descriptor Block is invalid.
Unit Attention The cartridge was changed, or the drive was re-
set prior to this command.
