Capacity Control Communication Cable Connection
- A separate communication cable must be connected to the indoor unit in order to control the ca-
pacity of the indoor unit in the Control Kit.
Refer to the following diagram to connect the communication cable when it's necessary to con-
trol the capacity. (Refer to the Wiring Diagram for more details.)
- Make sure to install the Central Control PI485 on the outdoor unit in order to use the outdoor
unit capacity control option.
! CAUTION
• The capacity of up to 6 outdoor units can be controlled in the Control Kit, and it's recom-
mended to set the addresses of the outdoor units from 1 through 6 when connecting the
communication cable for controlling the capacity. If not, it may take some time to find the
addresses of the outdoor units in the Control Kit early on in the process.
• The capacity of up to 6 outdoor units can be controlled in the Control Kit. Set the addresses
of the outdoor units from 1 to 6 in the respective order when connecting the communica-
tion cable to control the capacity. If not, the capacity control feature may not function nor-
mally.
• Make sure the polarity of the power supply connector is correct when connecting the com-
munication cable between the Control Kit and outdoor unit.
