6 Diagnosis and Troubleshooting

6.1 Remove the battery

Press in the catches and remove the battery.

WARNING!
Do not short circuit the battery!
Never unscrew the battery!
Never fit a damaged battery!
Replace a damaged battery!

6.2 Connect the diagnostic tool

NB! Ensure that the cutting unit is in working
position when the tests in the Common service
tool are being performed.
Connect the adapter cable for the diagnostic tool
to the battery and the battery contact on the pole
hedge trimmer.
Connect cable (A) to the diagnostic tool for trouble-
shooting the pole hedge trimmer.
Connect cable (B) to the diagnostic tool for trouble-
shooting the battery.
NB! Refer to the manual for the Diagnostic Tool
Battery for detailed instructions and follow the
instructions in the diagnostic tool.

Diagnose/troubleshoot according to the diagnostic
tool instructions and make any necessary repairs
as instructed in the relevant chapter in this manual.

6.3 No signal to diagnostic tool

Check that the contact on the battery and the bat-
tery contact on the product are intact and clean.
Replace the battery or control unit respectively on
the pole hedge trimmer if there is any damage.

Check that the cable to the diagnostic tool is intact
and clean. Replace the cable if it is damaged.

Restart the computer/Reinstall the software.
