Recovering the User Interface Access

The 'J6 | COM1' RJ-45 Ethernet port is the only means of M&C access for the
current production version of the LPOD-R units (i.e., those models having the
weatherproof RJ-45 'J6 | COM1' connector). Loss of the unit's Management IP
Address or the interface access credentials (i.e., the username/password and
SNMP communities) prohibits M&C of the LPOD-R.
You can reset the access credentials for the LPOD-R to the factory default
settings. To do this, issue a ping command to the default Management IP Address
(169.254.1.1) within the first 10 seconds of power cycle/reset of the unit.

2.5.3.1 Recovery Steps Using a Windows PC

Do these steps:
1. Change the IP Address of the User PC NIC (the Network Interface Card
that controls the Ethernet port connected to the LPOD-R ) to
169.254.1.10:
a. On the Windows taskbar, Click 'Start' and then click 'Control
Panel'.
b. From the Control Panel window, click the 'Network and Sharing
Center' icon.
c. Look for the 'View your active networks' section of the 'Network
and Sharing Center' window.
d. Click the 'Local Area Connection' hyperlink (e.g., 'Local Area
Connection 2') to select the targeted NIC.
e. In the 'Interface Status' window, click 'Properties'.
f. If necessary, click the 'Network' tab.
