REMOVE AND INSTALL

WARNING
This section is one section of a complete service
manual. Before starting any procedure, read all
warnings and instructions that are located in the
Service Guidelines chapter.
1: Disconnect the main motor cables and unplug the encoder and electric brake cables.
2: Disconnect the park brake cables from the brake arm and the swing
arm mount.
3: Disconnect brake hoses from the brake calipers.
4: Remove the lower shock bolts.
5: Remove the bolt holding the panhard bar to the frame
6: Remove the nuts from the bolts holding the suspension links to the
frame. Do not remove the bolts at this time.
7: Raise the rear of the vehicle just high enough to remove the pressure
on the rear springs.
Note: Do not raise the vehicle so high to where the rear wheels come off
of the ground.
8: Remove the suspension link bolts from the frame.
9: Raise the rear of the vehicle high enough to roll the
transmission out from under the frame.
10: Lower the frame onto jack stands or the ground.
11: Install the transmission assembly in reverse order of
removal.
• Bleed the brake system. Refer to section Brake Service for
information regarding bleeding the brakes.
12: Remove the blocks from behind the wheels and test drive
the vehicle.
