Poor probe repeatability
and/or accuracy.
RMP400 status LEDs do
not correspond to RMI
or RMI-Q status LEDs.

Debris on part or stylus.
Poor tool change repeatability.
Loose probe mounting on shank
or loose stylus.
Excessive machine vibration.
Calibration out of date and/or
incorrect offsets.
Calibration and probing speeds

Measurement occurs as stylus
leaves surface.
Measurement occurs within
the machine's acceleration and
deceleration zone.
Probing speed too high or too
slow.
Temperature variation causes
machine and workpiece

RMP400 has been enclosed/

Clean part and stylus.
