Cooling fan

The following displays the structure for installing cooling fans.

If the cooling fan is damaged or missed in the redundancy configuration, the redundancy may degrade. If the
cooling fan is damaged or missed without redundancy, the server shuts down.
The cooling fan speed varies to operate the server. The cooling fan runs at the minimum speed in accordance
with the temperature.
The server shuts down under the following conditions related to the temperature.
● If the temperature at the caution level is detected, iLO5 shuts down OS safely. If the temperature at the
critical level is detected, the power shuts down forcibly without shutting down OS.

Important
Be sure to install the blank covers to the fan bays 1 to 4 in the 1CPU
configuration to prevent the server from being damaged.
