2. Remove the ceramic surface; see Section 010-4.5.
3. Disconnect all electrical connections (Figure 010-11, Items 2 and 3) from the
selection electronic.
4. Using needlenose pliers, pinch each of the retainers (Figure 010-11, Item 1)
together while pulling the selection electronic upward to release it.

Note:
When installing the selection electronic, install the plug at Figure 010-11, Item 2,
with the wires pointing downwards.
Make sure that the selection electronic's sensors will contact the underside of
the ceramic surface.
Note:
After replacing the selection electronic, program the cooktop model for the new
electronic (refer to Section 010-4.1).

Induction Coil (Burner) Removal

1. Remove the cooktop and disconnect it from power; see Section 010-4.4.
2. Remove the ceramic surface; see Section 010-4.5.
Note:
Before removing the induction coils, note their screw-terminal positions.
3. Lift the appropriate induction coil up and disconnect it from the power
electronic (remove the 2 T25 screws and release the wires; see Figure 010-
12, Item 1).
4. Disconnect the induction coil's PTC sensor from the power electronic (2-wire
Molex plug, Figure 010-12, Item 2).
