should not be using unsuitable pots or pans!
1. Replace the affected burner; see Section 010-4.7.
2. Check the filter/control electronic (1N1/2N1) and fuse tracks.
3. Replace the power electronic; see Section 010-4.9.

No Appliance Function/Power Electronic Defective

Symptom:
No appliance function. The power electronic is defective. The induction coil could
also be charred; see Section 010-3.55.
Cause:
Using pots/pans made out of an unsuitable material. An extremely concave
pot/pan base will hinder temperature sensor function. The induction coil
overheats. Sometimes this overheating can lead to short circuits in the induction
coil windings. This can also damage the power electronic.
Remedy:
Note:
To prevent this from happening in the future, inform the customer that they
should not be using unsuitable pots or pans!
1. Replace the affected induction coil; see Section 010-4.7.
2. Check the filter/control electronic (1N1/2N1) and fuse tracks.
3. Replace the power electronic; see Section 010-4.9.

No Appliance Function/Induction Coil Contacts Burnt

Symptom:
No appliance function. The induction coil contacts are burnt.
Cause:
The screws securing the induction coil contacts to the power electronic were not
securely fastened at the factory or during service work. This will produce high
transfer resistance that in turn will draw excessive current and burn the contacts.
Remedy:
1. Replace the power electronic; see Section 010-4.9.
Note:
The induction coil contact screws must be securely fastened.
2. Replace the affected induction coil; see Section 010-4.7.

Noises from Pots and Pans

Cause:
Pots/pans are noisy.
Remedy:
Test to see where these noises are coming from (induction only); see the general
DTD, 26-0000.
