2. Check the built-in configuration for sufficient ventilation.
Cause:
Overheating has damaged the PTC of a burner.
Remedy:
1. Check the PTC and replace the burner with PTC as necessary; refer to
Section 010-4.7.
2. Check the plug connecting the PTC to the power electronic (1A3/2A3/3A3) for
good contact.
3. Replace the power electronic (1A3/2A3/3A3); refer to Section 010-4.9.

Fault Code FE, plus Changing Number(s)

Symptom:
Fault code FE in a power level indicator combined with one or more numbers in
the timer display, e.g., FE37. Several numbers may be displayed at one-second
intervals.
Cause:
Model type programmed incorrectly. Fault codes FE 00, FE 04, FE 08, FE 12, FE
16 or FE 00, FE 08, FE 76 or FE 00, FE12, FE 76 are displayed in sequence.
Remedy:
Check the model programming and program the correct model as necessary
(refer to Section 010-4.1).
Cause:
One or more sensor or hardware faults was registered by the electronic.
Remedy:
Note:
For safety reasons, if a hardware fault is registered, the cooktop shuts off
automatically.
1. Check the connections between the electronics and replace them as
necessary.
2. Identify faulty sensors from the diagram (Figure 010-1) or identify the faulty
electronic in the fault code table (Table 010-8).
3. Replace the faulty electronic (refer to Section 010-4.9 or Section 010-4.10).

"A" Flashes, Ring Not Illuminated

Symptom:
"A" flashes in the burner display alternately with the set power level.
Cause:
Programming fault. In service programming, the function P2. (P 22) was
mistakenly set to S0, which switched the light ring off. In the expanded power
level setting, a flashing "A" shows that the auto-boost feature is active.
Remedy:
Set the programming function P2. (P 22) to S1 (refer to Section 010-4.1).
