Motion pictures
Recording motion pictures is not possible.
• You may not be able to record for a short while after turning this unit on when using a large
capacity card.
Motion picture recording stops in the middle.
• Motion picture recording requires cards with Speed Class ratings that support particular types
of recording. Use supported cards.
Sometimes focus adjustment with Auto Focus mode is difficult while recording
4K motion pictures.
• This may occur when taking a picture by reducing the Auto Focus speed in order to adjust the
focus at high precision. This is not a malfunction.
In motion pictures, abnormal clicking and buzzing sounds are recorded.
The recorded sound is very quiet.
• With recording in a quiet environment, the sound of aperture and focus may be recorded in
motion pictures. This is not a malfunction. The focus operation during recording of motion
pictures can be set to [OFF] in [Continuous AF] (P160).
• While recording motion pictures, plugging the aperture of the microphone with a finger may
reduce the level of audio recording or audio may not record at all. Also be careful because the
operation sound of lenses can easily be recorded at this time.
Operating sounds are recorded in a motion picture.
• If the operating sounds made during recording bother you, we recommend changing the
relevant setting through touch operations.
• Since motion pictures are recorded until the motion picture button is pressed to stop recording,
noticeable operating sounds may be heard when they are played back.
To suppress this sound, we recommend trying the following method.
> Divide the end part of a motion picture using [Video Divide]
In some cases, motion pictures cannot be divided at a position close to the end part of the
motion picture. To avoid this problem, continue recording for an extra 3 seconds.
