6. Recording Images that Suit Your Subjects and Purposes
Taking Pictures Automatically at Set Intervals
([Time Lapse Shot])
Applicable modes:
The camera can automatically take pictures of subjects such as animals or plants as time
elapses and create a motion picture.
• Set the date and time settings in advance.
• Recorded pictures are displayed as group pictures.

¢1 Can be set only when [Shooting Interval Setting] is set to [ON].
• The estimated recording ending time is displayed on the setting screen.
It is displayed under the following conditions when [Shooting Interval Setting] is set to
[OFF]:
– Recording Mode: Shutter-Priority AE Mode or Manual Exposure Mode
– Focus Mode: [MF]
• The camera may not be able to record using the pre-set interval and number of pictures
to be recorded or may not finish recording at the estimated recording ending time under
some recording conditions.

Press 3/4 to select [Start] and then press [MENU/SET].
[Rec] > [Time Lapse Shot]
Sets the time from recording start time to the next
[ON]
recording start time.
After recording is finished, the next recording is
[OFF]
started without any interval.
Starts the recording by fully-pressing the shutter
[Now]
button.
Any time up to 23 hours 59 minutes ahead can be
set.
[Start Time
Select the item (hour or minute) by pressing

2/1, set the start time by pressing 3/4, and
then press [MENU/SET].
The number of pictures and the recording interval can be set.
