DANGER
Hazard due to unexpected starting of the machine
Make sure that the dangerous state of the machine is (and remains) switched off

during the check.
Make sure that the outputs of the safety light curtain have no effect on the

machine while checking the components.
1.
Guide the test rod slowly through the area to be protected (e.g., machine opening)
as indicated by the arrows,
2.
Watch the OSSD LED on the receiver during the check. The OSSD LED on the
receiver should continuously light up red. The OSSD LED must not light up green.

Then, guide the test rod along the edges of the area to be protected as indicated
by the arrows,

Watch the OSSD LED on the receiver during the check. The OSSD LED on the
receiver should continuously light up red. The OSSD LED must not light up green.

If you use one or more deflector mirrors, then also guide the test rod slowly
through the area to be protected directly in front of the deflector mirrors.
6.
Watch the OSSD LED on the receiver during the check. The OSSD LED on the
receiver should continuously light up red. The OSSD LED must not light up green.
